Victory is in sight! It's often when we near the finish line that we give up. There are so many temptations to do so. This session will help you find the resources, both inner and outer, to stay the course and see your book through to "The End."

Sunday, AUGUST 2, 2026 
10am-3pm
at Studio 14

9:30am — OPTIONAL breakfast & catch-up with your journeymates. At Grinderz next door, cost runs about $10-15 (Tell them you're from Studio 14, and you may get a 5% discount!) 

10am — The Art of Critiquing: We’ll spend about 20 minutes on each author’s work, taking breaks as needed 

12pm — BYO brown bag LUNCH, or order something from one of the village eateries and dine in our studio 

1pm — The Final Battle
  • Last critiques
  • Keeping your story on track (or getting it back on!) 
  • Dealing with burnout
  • Choosing your chief weapon—an editor
  • Picking up your mighty pen to slay the parts of your book that have plagued you most 
  • Last edits and finishing touches
